Version 2.0.0 Beta 2


SQLGrinder 2 Beta 2 includes the following changes:

  • [ADDED] "New Editor Using Current" and "New Browser Using Current" menu items added to File > New menu

  • [ADDED] Tab will now accept completion window selection, in addition to enter

  • [ADDED] Login sheet fields now filled in as much as possible when JDBC URL check box is unchecked

  • [FIXED] Login sheet fields no longer cleared when JDBC URL check box is unchecked

  • [FIXED] Search fields now all do a case-insensitive search

  • [FIXED] Rows dragged from browser table no longer have repeated last row

  • [FIXED] Groups can now be created in library

  • [FIXED] Removed "New Login" button from login sheet -- deemed too confusing

  • [FIXED] Color and font changes should now be applied to all open windows

  • [FIXED] Better default syntax coloring font colors are now used

  • [FIXED] Can now correctly change the database name in the login sheet

  • [FIXED] Beta display warning now only displayed the first time a new version is run

  • [FIXED] Pressing "Check Now" in software update will now display result and update last check date

  • [FIXED] Old login preferences no longer cause problem with size of new preferences window

  • [FIXED] Reimplemented data structure used in browser to be faster. Large schemas should now load

  • [FIXED] Old logins no longer causing a blank login panel in preferences


Some outstanding known issues:

  • There are still issues with Oracle. Testing and fixes are planned for the next version

  • Known issue using the jTDS with SQL Server

  • Data table editing problems
